Maybe one day we’ll all sit down together and have a good laugh about the things these people believed and even said out loud … but not while they’re still actively running — often successfully — for the highest political offices in the country and while they’re commanding the attention — and even the respect — of millions and millions of other people.

That, after all, isn’t one bit funny.
