This week on The Hero Report, we look closely at the idea of soldiers as heroes. We ask whether all soldiers should be considered heroes, and tackle some of the claims and counterclaims. Our focus, arising from a Running Chicken blog post over the weekend, is on the question of what motivates people to enlist and how that motivation might or might not be heroic.
