Hillary Clinton proposes Twitter, technology as part solution to corruption in Kenya: http://bit.ly/lHH3w (via @akhilak, @WalshNYC, @mmaren)
I’ll be the first to admit that I have a huge crush on Twitter, not that anyone’s surprised to hear it. But I’m not entirely convinced that Twitter is the answer if you’re looking for democratic accountability. Perhaps I need to actually read the text of Clinton’s speech instead of an article with excerpts from it. But I’m curious why Twitter (or, let’s say, technology in general) is something that can act as a giant-killer for a problem as far-reaching and awe-inspiring as political corruption. Thoughts?
And, while we’re asking questions, where’s Secretary Clinton’s Twitter account anyhow?!
