Humble beginnings.
Let’s say you wanted to hire Herman Cain to speak about leadership or you wanted to purchase one of his inspirational compact discs. You know, you wanted “The Hermanator Experience.” Well, back in 1998, when the Hermanator was selling books and CDs, this is the storefront where you would have found him. It’s right down the street from my new apartment here in Omaha.
And now? As of earlier today,
A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has him leading all Republican presidential hopefuls with 27 percent of the prospective primary vote. An Ipsos/Reuter survey puts the ex-fast food CEO just behind Mitt Romney, at 19 percent of the vote to Mr. Romney’s 21 percent.
Like his old website says, Cain is a man “of humble beginnings.” Despite his current poll numbers, I wouldn’t urge anyone to go buy stock in Herman Cain’s chances at the presidency … but I can now tell you where to go if you want to visit his old stomping grounds.
