MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ could go off air over lawsuit claiming assault, racketeering.
OK, it probably ain’t so. Read the article. Assault? Sure. Racketeering? Probably not.
I have a feeling that the worries about MTV taking “Jersey Shore” off the air because of this lawsuit are overblown. That might just be wishful thinking on my part, as it would leave me casting about for another reality tv show that allows me to comment on the sad state of our society … except that the new season of “Survivor” starts in a couple of weeks.
In truth, I haven’t looked all that carefully at the racketeering statutes. But I did check with J-WOWW’s best friends, J-420 and Joey Yanks, and they told me not to worry.
