I’m still pretty excited about this concept and there seems to be some buy-in right now, which I hadn’t really expected until the new academic year starts in August. The real question, now, is how to move conversations from Twitter to the blog a little bit more often. The more posting that happens on the blog, the more this really resembles a serious discussion. As a great many skeptics have noted, my idea is limited by the 140 character limit imposed by individual tweets. But the blog doesn’t have those limitations at all, so I’m guessing that people will want to move to the blog…once they feel like they’re sufficiently connected to one another and to the community in general via Twitter.
